Education

Homelessness is a big social issue across Australia. It is easy to think that the problems are too big or it is someone else job to fix the problem. The reality is that we all have the power to make a difference. At 300 Blankets, we work with schools across Victoria to encourage and nurture young people to make a difference in the world around them.
As an organisation focused on making a difference for people at risk or are experiencing homelessness, we are always looking at new ways to reach more people. One of our newest initiatives is our location based food and community program called Soul Kitchen.

Get involved!

There are so many ways your school or club can get involved with us and have fun while doing it.
With 23000 people experiencing homelsssness in Victoria and 10% under the age of 19, it makes so much sense to educate our children about the realities of homelessness. At 300 Blankets we believe that solving homelessness begins through education and having informed leaders so we are always developing and evolving our education program. We work with educational institutions from Primary Schools, Secondary Colleges through to Universities.

School presentations

Our passionate volunteer leaders visit schools, clubs and universities to present and inspire young minds.

 volunteering

Volunteering is a great way for people give time back to their communities. At 300 Blankets, we have a minimum volunteering age of 16. All volunteers between the ages of 16 – 18 must volunteer with a parent or legal guardian.
