Our Programs

Working to support people in Victoria living with or at risk of homelessness, food insecurity and social isolation, 300 Blankets runs two core programs all year round.

People can experience hardship due to a number of complex factors, such as financial hardship, experiencing family or domestic violence, or ill health. Through consistent programming we can connect with the community in a variety of ways, to ensure everyone is treated with care and dignity – whatever their circumstances.

Outreach

The 300 Blankets Outreach Program sees volunteers take to the streets of the Melbourne CBD twice weekly, carrying a variety of emergency material aid such as blankets, toiletries and basic food.

These items make an extraordinary impact on the lives of people sleeping rough. Doing more than just providing emergency materials to those we meet, this program allows us to establish supportive relationships, give advice and provide referrals to enhance the likelihood that further supports may help them move off the streets.

Soul Kitchen

Soul Kitchen in Braybrook has grown to be an important pillar of the Maribyrnong community since it began in 2018. Providing home cooked and delicious meals to those in need among the local community.

Prepared and served in the Braybrook Community Hub each Sunday, these nights are not only about providing food but are also an opportunity for members of the community to connect with others in a warm and friendly environment. Material aid such as blankets, clothing and toiletries are also available to those in need.

I cannot tell you how grateful, appreciative, relived and honoured I am for all your care, support and help... Sometimes on the weekend you are the only people I see... I am very humbled and touched by all your care. It reminds me I live in a community... Thank you for shining a light into my life.
